Septic and Well Inspections

Comprehensive Septic Inspections

Comprehensive septic inspections can be performed on any system, and are most commonly performed at residences.  AWT’s septic inspections include the following components:

  • Check tank (and pump if applicable) for surface and/or ground water leaks
  • Evaluate sludge to determine if it needs to be pumped
  • Clean septic tank filter (if applicable)
  • Assess pump operation (if applicable)
  • Check that the drain field is being properly maintained
  • Check/flush accessible drain field lines

Low Pressure Pipe (LPP) Inspection

North Carolina state law states that all LPP systems that have been designed or installed since 1992 are required to have a routine inspection twice per year. These inspections include the comprehensive inspection components, as well as the following:

  • Check pump to make sure it is working properly and running at correct flow rate
  • Check float switches and valves
  • Check control panel
  • Check that the field line pressure heads are properly adjusted

Well Inspection

AWT can also assist with completing a well analysis and provide consumers with finalized reports detailing the water samples.
