AWT Reduce Farmer’s Utility Bills
Helping Producers Across the Country
AWT is deeply rooted in agriculture. We work across the country to help Producers improve their facility in areas like waste management, irrigation management, crop production, and Energy. Energy is a buzz word and rightfully so. Saving energy and money go hand in hand. It is easy to understand not only why but how to conserve energy. AWT plays a big role in finding ways to improve energy efficiency on your farm. It’s as easy as an Ag-EMP.
What is an AgEMP?
An AgEMP is an Agriculture Energy Management Plan that helps pin point energy inefficiencies on your farm. Through cost share with the NRCS this plan makes it possible to improve your facility with energy efficient equipment like fans, heaters, lights, etc. This program makes a big impact on yearly utility cost. However, it cannot happen until you contact your local NRCS office.
To illustrate the savings an AgEMP can bring to your farm; we have compared how much energy it will take to operate fans in a 40’x50′ broiler house Before and After an AgEMP. The table below shows the before and after breakdown of annual energy cost.
Getting an AgEMP for your farm is worth it. The graph below describes the same comparison as in the table above. However, in this format, it may be easier to see the impact an AgEMP can make on a poultry farm. This graph shows an annual savings of approximately $446/year after new fans are installed.
