VP of Agriculture and Environmental ServicesHal has been with AWT since 1995. He is a registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina, Illinois, and Kentucky. Hal has provided engineering consulting services for over 25 years to major producers throughout the United States and abroad. This consulting work relates primarily to environmental, permitting and design consulting work related to waste management and water quality.
Hal also acts as the lead verifier and project specialist for Carbon Offset projects under the California Air Resources Board Cap and Trade program (livestock digesters and mine methane capture), Climate Action Reserve, American Carbon Registry and Verified Carbon Standard. His verification work also includes low carbon fuel verifications under CARB’s LCFS program and Oregon’s Clean Fuels Program (both fuel pathways and transaction report verifications).
Hal enjoys working on projects related to renewable energy and the utilization of agricultural byproducts for beneficial use. These projects allow our clients to utilize materials that are typically labeled as waste or pollutants to be used in a beneficial manner. Promoting “waste-to-worth” projects has been a professional goal throughout his career.
Hal currently lives in Apex, NC with his family. Hal enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and walking/training his dog.
