Grace Gooding

Grace joined AWT in May 2024 as a soils intern and quickly discovered how much she enjoyed putting her education into practice. After graduating from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Natural Resources and a concentration in soils, she officially became a full-time member of the AWT team in June 2025. Today, she focuses on soil and site evaluations and on-site wastewater system inspections.

Born and raised in Lexington, NC, Grace first fell in love with the outdoors through Envirothon, which she competed throughout middle and high school. Those experiences and her passion for natural resources are what ultimately led her to AWT.

When she’s not working, Grace is happiest outside, enjoying nature in any way she can and spending time with family and friends.
