Alaina Norzagaray

Alaina joined AWT as an Environmental Specialist in October 2024. She graduated with her BS in Natural Resources from North Carolina State University. As someone passionate about the environment, she is thrilled to be working to help farmers find the most energy efficient solutions. She attributes her fondness for agriculture to childhood summers in upstate New York where she would take daily walks to visit “Farmer Freddy and his ladies,” or more specifically, the local cattle farmer and the heifers kept in the barn for late calving. Alaina is currently looking forward to working toward her Technical Service Provider certification.

A native of Cary, NC, Alaina loves spending her days off hiking at local parks and reading outside when the mosquitos aren’t too bad. One of her goals is to hike in all the national parks. So far, she’s been to Shenandoah, the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and Denali.
