Carly Graves

Assistant Project Engineer

Carly started as an Assistant Project Engineer in 2023 after graduating from NC State University with her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering. Her research background in agricultural waste management in the poultry and swine industries made AWT a natural fit. As a member of the Agriculture team, she works to develop Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans and Agricultural Energy Assessments and Designs to help producers save resources and money while benefiting the environment. She has her Engineering Intern Certification and strives to earn her P.E. license in 2026 after gaining her years of experience.

Carly’s involvement with the American Society of Agriculture and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has played an influential role in her career path. She was recognized as the Yoerger Preprofessional Engineer of the Year in 2021 for her leadership and involvement in the society. She strives to stay involved in the organization as her professional career continues.

Carly grew up in Wake Forest and continues to love exploring the natural beauty of North Carolina. In her free time, Carly enjoys hiking, camping, and playing the bassoon in local symphonies and chamber groups.
