Carly joined Agri-Waste Technology in 2023 after earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from North Carolina State University. Her graduate research focused on agricultural waste management in the poultry and swine industries, making AWT a natural fit. As a Professional Engineer and member of the Agriculture team, Carly develops Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans (CNMPs), Agricultural Energy Assessments and Designs, stormwater plans, and other conservation engineering solutions that help agricultural producers improve efficiency, protect natural resources, and meet regulatory requirements.

Carly is licensed as a Professional Engineer in North Carolina and continues to expand her expertise in agricultural engineering, conservation planning, and nutrient management throughout the Southeast. She enjoys working directly with producers, conservation agencies, and industry partners to develop practical, science-based solutions for a wide variety of agricultural operations.

Carly’s involvement with the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has played an influential role in her career. She was recognized as the Yoerger Preprofessional Engineer of the Year in 2021 for her leadership and service to the organization and remains actively involved in ASABE through professional committees and outreach.

Originally from Wake Forest, North Carolina, Carly enjoys exploring the state’s natural beauty through hiking, camping, biking, and anything else that gets her outside.
