James joined AWT in February 2025 as an Associate Soil Scientist. After graduating from North Carolina State University with a B.S in Natural Resources – Ecosystem Assessment and a minor in Soil Science in 2022, James worked in environmental consulting performing Wetland Delineations, Phase I ESAs, and Seasonal High Water Table evaluations for stormwater control measures. He enjoys working with the System Design team performing soil & site evaluations, saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ksat) testing, feasibility studies, and wetland delineations.

James is a North Carolina native who looks forward to spending his career in his home state. In his free time, he enjoys playing banjo, being a volunteer YoungLife Leader at Asheboro High School, and pulling for the NC State Wolfpack. James is happy to be a part of the AWT team and contribute to the excellent reputation and services.
