Sr. GIS AnalystJulie has a B.S. in Biology with a Concentration in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She has a graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from NC State University.
Julie leads the GIS Team, providing strategic direction for geospatial analysis, data management, application development, and workflow automation across the company. With more than 20 years of experience, she leverages Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to transform complex environmental and spatial data into practical insights that support informed decision-making and successful project outcomes.
Julie works closely with soil scientists, engineers, environmental specialists, and system design teams to identify project opportunities, evaluate site constraints, and help clients realize the full potential of their properties. Using ESRI’s suite of GIS technologies, she develops custom applications, dashboards, and technical tools that improve efficiency, enhance collaboration, and provide valuable project intelligence.
In addition to her GIS leadership role, Julie has specialized training through NC State University in wetland delineation and stream identification for regulatory purposes. She supports developers, landowners, and project teams through the environmental permitting process by conducting spatial analyses, mapping jurisdictional features, assisting with Section 401 and 404 permit applications, and riparian buffer. Her unique combination of GIS expertise and environmental knowledge allows her to bridge the gap between field science, regulatory requirements, and project planning.
Julie is a fellow plant nerd that enjoys horticulture and plant identification. She uses her lifelong love for plants and the outdoors to answer questions for family, friends, and colleagues.
