Dr. Huffman joined AWT in 2018 after retiring from the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department at North Carolina State University. In his 29 years there, he conducted research on groundwater quality impacts of CAFOs in NC, effects of wetland restoration on groundwater, and subsurface drip irrigation. Most of his time was devoted to teaching: hydrology, irrigation and drainage, project surveying, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and instrumentation.
Huffman is a member and Fellow of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers and serves on the Ag/Bio PE Exam development committee.
