NCOWCICB Certified InspectorEnvironmental Scientist
Trevor is a recent graduate of Appalachian State University where he earned his B.S. in Environmental Sciences, with a minor in Biology. This choice of majors was a natural for him because of his life-long love of outdoor activities, his interest in the environment, his commitment to conservation, and his awareness of the need to protect our natural resources for future generations. Born and raised in rural Chatham County, Trevor has been an avid hunter and fisherman since the age of 10. He also enjoys running. Trevor’s previous experience in agriculture includes an in-depth project with the Virginia Soil and Water Conservation Service. This project required Trevor to work closely with Virginia farmers to implement on-farm improvements designed to abate non-point source agricultural waste discharges into waters of the state. Hackney’s work with AWT includes GIS mapping and conducting field visits.
